The Dark Knight

I saw 'The Dark Knight' for the first time tonight and LOVED it!!! Jacob my cousin also watched it with me and liked it as well. I thought that the Joker, played by Heath Ledger, was amazing!!! So much, in fact, that Jacob and I decided to have a little fun and paint him up like the Joker. This is the picture we took right after. Whatta think? I wanted it dark and blurry so that is why I picked this one.

Been Awhile...

Well I've gone through another cell phone since the last time I've posted. The lake always seems to make friends with my phone EVERY stinkin' summer. On a happier note, I replaced it and it is a really nice phone. It has many features that I like. Woo!! :)

Jacob has been down for a week, today, and we have been having lots of fun together; The Dynamic Duo. I've felt close to this kid ever since he was born. He used to call me " 'His' Kyle." We've gone to the lake 3 times so far and I anticipate going a few more times while he's here. Jacob's birthday was a couple weeks ago, May 25th, and so I bought him a birthday present yesterday. He picked this Lego set that is themed after Indiana Jones. He had me help him build it. It was fun seeing him so excited about it :) He is down for another week so we'll see if his actions appear on the blog again.

WICKED!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"None of it seems to matter anymore." I had been counting down the days to see Wicked for 6 months. And...now it's all over :( It did not hit me that I was seeing the show until we walked into the Capitol Theater and saw the stage set for the first scene; a glowing map of Oz! It was an amazing show overall--it is Broadway after all. We saw the understudies for three of the leads. Glinda the good witch, Fiyero the heartthrob of the show, and Boq the eventual Tin Man. Marissa Lupp played Glinda and she is an amazing actress. Her voice could have been more impressive--hence her part as the Stand By. The set, costumes, lights and props were exact as they are in New York. It was definitely a great Broadway Tour. I can't believe I had the chance to see it!!!!! Go see it if you get the chance!!!!!!!

I have no words to describe how grateful I am for....everything in my life.
I've just been reminded how amazing and important friendship is. How important family is. How important the gospel is and just life in general.
How could we get along without family and friendship? These people are with us always, we better be grateful for the example that they set for us. I cannot tell you how amazed I am at the quality of friends that I have luckily snagged. Friends, may I add, that still love me despite my craziness...haha.
Can I just say that I LOVE music. There is no way that I could live without it. It's seriously the stuff that makes the world go round. Lately I've been listening to a mix of David Archuleta and the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. An interesting concoction of music styles, yes, but I recently saw Archuleta in concert and liked the music, and you can't go wrong with Mo-Tab.
I just got back from a trip up to Salt Lake and I can honestly say that I am no city boy. I hated the traffic and just the whole idea of jam-packed areas of people. So, the drive home was quite peaceful as more and more open spaces...opened up haha. I love Southern Utah.
Well, as always please comment and let me know what you guys are grateful for, I love reading your comments.

Life :)

What a wonderful life it is eh? It is such a great feeling to know that when times are blue, or when things don't go the way you would have liked, there will always be a brighter day ahead. In such cases I know we all hope and wish that the brighter day will come quickly. That's life right? Michael Buble's song "That's Life" talks about this exact point, that life goes on. Dang good thing, too :) It's a great blessing to have great friends and family around in times of blue :) Of course, we cannot forget who we can always call on in such times.

There is your thought of the day :)

Update!

<--(I saw Big Foot)

Well, it's been a bit since I've posted eh? Let's see...lots has happened I suppose.

1-Got my first laptop
2-Almost died of boredom due to the lack of fun in this detestable Spring Break
3-Helped Shella clean her...really dirty room (it definitely needed some help)
4-Rode in the Tri-State OHV Jamboree--it was a blast!
5-Visited my fam in Las Vegas
6-Continually getting more and more excited to see Wicked in Salt Lake on April 9th
7-Strengthened an already great friendship :)

My friend Derek hooked me up with this sweet Compaq laptop at the price of a pretty penny. Anyhow, I really love it, and I am thrilled to be apart of the "in" crowd among the laptop geeks.

Can i just say that this has been the most boring Spring Break of my life!!!! This is largely due to the fact that Claire ditched Shella and me for Fallon, Nevada...who does that? Jk, Claire, i'm sure you are having a lot of fun there :) The most exciting thing that I have done or that has happened would have to be seeing Shella's room transform from a nasty-human eating-living quarters into a livable (clean) room.

I rode in the ATV Jamboree again this year. I have really enjoyed being a part of the Four-Wheeling club that my Grandparents help start a few years ago. I've been riding four-wheelers since I can remember. My favorite riding memory was when I was riding on the back of my granpa's machine; we would sing 'Popcorn Poppin' on the Apricot Tree,' it was great fun!

I visited my family in Las Vegas. Shella tagged along, and of course everyone thought that 'she must be my girlfriend if she were to come,' but no, she is just a good friend. Grandma, Shella and I pulled my moms four-wheeler trailer to her house so that she could come to the Jamboree. It was a fun couple of days. Shella learned a little how my family is, and well I guess my family learned that I really don't love Shella, haha! The same thing happened to me with Kimber in that I always hung out with her and of course my family thought that we loved each other.

Wicked!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't believe that is almost here! I have been counting down the days for 6 months. I can't wait to see this amazing show again. I saw it once before in L.A. on my Senior Choir trip to Disneyland. It is full of amazing music, btw, we have 2 extra tickets if anyone/anyone you know is interested. it is April 9th--that is 3 weeks away for you bad Matherz.

Seriously what would we do without friendship?! I am thankful for the great friends I am lucky to have, and their fantastic examples they blindly set for me. You know who you guys are, Thank You :)
