A Beautiful Life!

Thought I'd share a cool song with you guys!! I was listening to a song called "It's a beautiful life" (by Fisher) and it talks about how it's a beautiful time to be here, how the world out there is waiting for us, the blue sky, the sun rising etc. and it just reminded me how much we take for granted the "little things" in life. After listening to the song I think i'm going to try harder to appreciate the small things that bring us unconscious joy. I have a funny story to go along with the unconscious joy!

A week or so ago I was running late for class and I was rushing out the door and I got to the car and I pressed the unlock button on the keypad and it didn't make the unlocky door sound, so I pressed it again but nothing. I then looked for the key that opened the door but it wasn't there so I was locked out for sure because the ignition key doesn't unlock the door. At this piont I was ready to give up because I hate showing up late for things. I would rather just not show up (bad habbit I know) I tried calming myself down and stop bad words from entering my mind haha, so I just sat next to the car and started laughing! This little keypad was kicking my butt because I letting it do so. I now treasure the keypad!!!!! Anyways, it's just funny how little things like a keypad not working can turn your day around. So...appreciate the little things!!!

Temple!

Today I went to the Temple to do Baptisms for the dead! It was a really fun experience! As I was in the Confirmation room the guy who reads the names was about done with the confirmation prayer and the moment he said "Receive the Holy Ghost" I had this overwhelming feeling!!! I knew immediately that it was the Holy Ghost and I knew that I was supposed to be there and nowhere else in the world doing anything else! In Sunday School a couple of weeks ago the lesson was on the Holy Ghost and the thing that stuck out to me was that the Holy Ghost is the mediator for Christ and Heavenly Father, and without the Holy Ghost we couldn't know or feel that anything is true and right!

After baptisms I watched the Restoration video at the Visitors Center and Man!, how could you not know that the Gospel is true! The last quote in the movie said something like "the light will shine over those that are in darkness, and they will know the fullness of the gospel." After I read that I was just thinking how God isn't going to leave anyone out...we will all have a chance to come unto him. It just made me think how patient he is with us! That movie shows us how far from perfect we really are, and that we have lots of room to improve in like a BILLION aspects of our lives!

Anyways, that is my feel good moment for the day haha! What do you guys think?

My first film credit!!!!

So Alex Chamberlain asked me if I would act in a film that wasn't going to be very long, he said it was a little video competition and it was nothing big so I thought it would be fun and agreed. He emailed me the details a few days later and I wasn't too excited that I would have to wake up at 7:30 in the morning to go freeze my butt off, but I did so anyhow. Anyways, here is the link to youtube, I think it turned out REALLY good, i'm very mucho impressed with it...see what ya think!

Crazy Tapping!!

So we have had two dance rehearsals for Singin' in the Rain so far and we finished Fit as a Fiddle, which in itself is pretty dang amazing! The only problem is that it is wicked hard tap so it's going to take me forver to get it! I'm slowly getting it though and that is way exciting! EVERYONE needs to come and see it even if I suck at the tapping cause it will be a great show! :)
(I had a little fun with this picture haha)

Les Miserables

Les Miserables is over!!! I miss everyone like crazy!!! Les Miz was such a great experience! I definitely grew as an "actor" being around Broadway actors. I'm glad that I had the opportunity to be apart of a great cast!

Singin' in the Rain :)

So I auditioned for Singin' in the Rain last night and this morning! The tapping last night was for freakin' pros, and I just faked it with a cheesy grin...haha! Today's audition was much better, I sang Ka-Ra-Zy For You, from Crazy For You. Then, they had me sing Singin' in the Rain, and read for Donald Lockwood! I'm excited, we'll get the verdict Monday, possibly Tuesday.

Darkness Seek!!!

It's our new game. A version of Hide-n-seek, but in complete darkness...in Shella's basement...it's very creepy and fun!!!

Claire, Shella and I carved pumpkins thursday, it was quite fun! Mine is creepily cool! It's kind of a skeleton face...it's perty cool! I put pumpkin guts all over Shella and Claire....I thought that was fun! Muwahaha! (:

Odd Man Out

Our fancy little quartet had our premier performance at Hurricane Intermediate School this last Thursday. We sang Change the World, and Silhouettes. It was perty fun! After we were done singing, Claire and Shella had to leave for a meeting they were late for. I noticed that they walked down a different hall so I scurried down to the choir room where their purses were, and hid behind a wall. They took like FOREVER!!! Anyways, they walked in and I spooked thems perty good! Shella made this screechy noise that nobody could ever duplicate!!! It was hilarious!! Claire just jumped and made her weird breathing sounds!

Scary African Movie!

Ok, Claire i'm sorry but that movie didn't even have "funny" potential. I tried to go along with it for about....ten seconds and then ya lost me. I will give you this, it could have been very informative about the African...heritage...except for the naked part haha. Tonight we attempted to watch a movie that Claire brought if you didn't catch that. We started to learn our new song called "Every Breath You Take," they all call it the "stalker song," but I just think it's some guy watching over his girlfriend or somethin', either way it's a cool song. We have Change the World memorized now and a pretty cool ending, so if you haven't heard us sing it let us come over or call us and we'll sing to you over speaker phone :)

Last night Shella and I went to Claire's house and watched a movie. We almost went on a night hike somewhere by her house but I fell asleep during the movie. It rained all saturday. At Les Miserables it rained really really hard from the wedding scene on which is almost the end until the end of the show. It was really heavy rain so we had to take off our wigs. The crowd was awesome; after each scene they cheered REALLY loud. It was probably the best and most memorable show i'll have for a long time. If you haven't seen the show go see it!!! There are only two weeks left! It's an awesome experience to be in this show because this is the first time the rights have been released, and they are being restricted once again because a broadway cast is taking it back on tour....the moral of that story was COME SEE LES MISERABLES at Tuacahn Amphitheater.

Life is good!!

I've just been reminded that life is good! I was apart of a benefit concert about a week ago for a kid that I worked with this summer at the childrens theater. He has a rare form of cancer, and is going through chemo right now. It just reflects how fragile life is; how important it is to be in the moment and always be true to yourself. Friends are really important, and most of all family. I probably don't tell my family and friends that I love them as much as I should so...I love you guys!!!! I'm thankful for all the great things in my life. It's said in a song that people come into our lives for a reason, and that it's our job to learn the lesson that they have for us. Everyone...thanks for your friendship! I love you all! And that is my feel good moment for the day haha :)

Big River!

Tonight Shella, Claire and I went to see Big River at Tuacahn. It was a really fun show! The flooded stage was pretty much awesome!!! It was fun to be with my good friends. Afterwards, we went to Shella's house and sang some new songs that I bought from JW Pepper. I bought four songs: Seasons of Love from the musical Rent, a cool a cappella christmas medley, Change the World, and the one I can never remember the name of haha...well it's a cool a cappella song :)

This last weekend my family came down from up north to visit. My aunt and uncle Lindstrom...that sounded weird haha. It was really fun having them down. The kids have lots, and lots of energy, and I decided that I am adopting at about 16-17...just kidding, but I know I will definitely be learning patience, patience, patience, and more patience. Oh, and I still have to get Danielle back for punching me in the shnaaz (nose) fighting for the remote. So, Danny........watch your back! :D

Cool Cookies!!

Last week or sometime in the recent past Shella, Lindsay, Claire and I made super rad cookies. I suppose that they didn't come out quite as planned but they were still pretty good! They are called "White Cookies," my "favorite aunt Cristy" made them once and I loved them. Oh, and just to clear up any confusion Cristy isn't really my favorite aunt it's just her nickname... I love all of my aunties equally! :)

So, after we made some interesting frosting, we played a wicked sweet game of hide-and-seek in Shella's house! Shella's house is humongo and it was dark; it was awesome!! Les Miserables ends in three weeks. I don't know if i'm excited or not...I'll miss it for sure, and I won't have any idea what to do with all of the free time I will have..actually I will. I'm auditioning for Singing in the Rain at SGMT and that will fill the two week void. I'm excited for Singin' in the Rain, it's a really fun show!!!

In the Bleak

Well, tonight Shella, Lindsay and I started to make a part for me to the song Linds arranged called "In the Bleak." It was interesting towards the end, because I was getting bored, so I would sing and it would be the wrong notes and it sorta sounded Chinese. And plus, Shella mentioned that she had lots of cookies at her house. So, I was antsy to leave. We ate a ton of cookies once we got to Shella's and now we are finishing Hitch. I had like six peanut butter cooks, and feel a little stuffed....Muwhaha.

Last Thursday night, Shella, Claire and I went to Walmart to get a card and a little present for Kimber because she was leaving for Idaho the next morning. We stayed for two hours looking for something and we finally decided to make her a fleece blanket, except that took FOREVER. We finally got her the blanket at 2:00 am though. I must admit it was a creative idea with her going to Idaho and all.

Holloween a bit early!

So here is Sella, Claire and I last Saturday dressing up to scare Kimber once she got home from Jesse's house. It was mucho entertaining! We had to take some peaches over to Alex's house (Claire's brother), but while we were on our way out he snatched his camera and took some pretty sweet mug-shots. Oh and this picture explains why my new nickname is Rodent Man!!

Spiderman movie party...aka (anti-Kimber party)

Hey, look at that I just made a fancy blog...well a blog anyway! Shella showed me how and now i'm "in" cause I have a blog...i'm an official cool kid muwahaha. We are having an anti-Kimber party right now...yep a great ol' party. We are watching Spiderman. I pretty much like this movie; we are anticipating watching all three...cause...well, ya know. At the moment Shella is making fun of my lingo. I said something wittily funny to Claire like always, and then said "jk dawg" and Shella busted up. So, the computer keeps falling asleep on me, so ttfn.

P.s. Claire keeps checking my grammar skills so i kyle is goen two mak as meny grimatikel erers as posibel;
